The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has an online compilation of all executed offenders including their information, last statement, TDCJ number, age, date of death, race, and county. The bit I find the most chilling thing is that the most recent execution (#469) took place on 06/16/2011. Two days ago.  I like to read the last statements. I’m pretty sure this following thought is from Battle Royale or something, but you never learn more about a person than through their final words.
